On May 21, 2023, the finals of the 9^th Chinese College Student Competition on Energy Economics came to an end.

The research project "Climate Risk, Market Contagion and China's Energy Price Security", jointly completed by Yuxin Kang, Fengqi Liu and Yichong Li, graduate students from the School of Economics and Management(SEM)and Sino-Danish College at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) and, and co-instructed by Associate Professor Kun Guo from SEM and Researcher Xiaolei Sun from the Institute of Science and Development of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), stood out among 6,148 teams from 423 institutions and was awarded national first prize and special prize in Beijing region.

The research project "Survival Analysis of Global Crude Oil Trade Based on Survival Analysis Method" by Liyuan Luan, Xiaoli Cai and Yuan Bian, graduate students from SEM and School of Public Policy and Management at UCAs,co-instructed by Associate Professor Kun Guo from SEM and Researcher Qiang Ji from the Institute of Science and Development of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was awarded the third prize in Beijing region.

Associate Professor Kun Guo won the Best Instructor Award of the competition.
