With the breakthrough application of big data, computing power and learning algorithms, artificial intelligence has become the key technology to promote the economics and social development. In recent years, large-scale pre-training models such as Chat GPT, AIGC and Huawei Pangu have sprung up rapidly. The Foundation Model is becoming a "new highland" in the field of AI, leading a new wave of intelligence. These cutting-edge AI technologies also have a profound impact on research paradigms in economics, management, forecasting science and other research fields, bringing a series of new research issues.

In order to better promote the cross-research and innovation of AI frontier technology and economics and management disciplines, CAS Center for Forecasting Science, UCAS School of Economics and Management, ShanghaiTech University School of Entrepreneurship and Management , and Paula and Gregory Chow Institute for Studies in Economics, Xiamen University, together organized a seminar, focusing on Chat GPT AIGC and other AI cutting-edge technology principles and their impact on economics, management, and forecasting science, to promote the integration of AI and economics and management disciplines and carry out interdisciplinary exploratory research.

On Feb. 14, 2023, the seminar was held both on site and on line, and co-chaired by Professor Wang Shouyang, Director of CAS Center for Forecasting Science, and Professor Hong Yongmiao, Dean of UCAS School of Economics and Management. They first addressed on the background and theme of the seminar. Then 11 scholars delivered their keynote speeches in turn.
